Fancy Food Show!!!!!!!!!

spices.jpgAll hail the Fancy Food Show, to be held July 9-11 at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. HINT will be there, offering delicious drinks to all visitors. I have also sworn a solemn oath that I will not eat any sweets at the show. Something tells me I’ll come back from New York a few pounds heavier.

Your Favorite Summer Destination

hollywood.jpgHere’s a small request, boys and girls: Name your favorite summer destination, the best place in the world to enjoy some HINT Water. For my money, there’s only place that fits the bill — the Hollywood Bowl. I love the place. And yes, I’ll be there for their fun and truly entertaining Fourth of July extravaganza.

Corn Goodness — Not!

corn.jpgCurious to know why corn syrup and other sweetners are so bad for us? Well, notwithstanding America’s current battle of the bulge (HINT, HINT: drink water, not sugar), these types of ingredients are just unhealthy in general. Why? Because corn syrup is only broken down in the liver, and stimulates production of glycogen, a complex polysaccharide, and lipids, so most of the energy contained gets stored, rather than used. Translation: it makes you fat! Have a tall glass of water instead.

Pomegranate-Tangerine: Four Stars!!!!

pomm.jpgYes, four stars for Pomegranate-Tangerine. The folks at www.BevNet.com love HINT. Here’s a quick excerpt from their glowing review: “This is easily our favorite Hint flavor, as the great smell and essence of pomegranate is infused so as to impart just the barest taste of the fruit’s sweetness to the water.”

Monkey: Hint Hero, Canine Version

terrier.jpgFolks, meet Monkey: our first canine HINT HERO. Okay, I’ll admit it . . . I put some HINT in his water bowl — and he loved it!!!! Gulp, gulp. Monkey is a Welsh Terrier, and the smartest dog in Los Angeles (hardly an accomplishment, I know). Who’s your HINT HERO?

Seriously, drink more water

suds.jpgCheck out this story from the New York Times about the importance of drinking more water (Hint, Hint). According to the article, Dr. Robert P. Heaney, the lead author of study about soft drinks and bone decay, said it was likely that soda drinkers had weaker bones because the soda in their diet was displacing other drinks that had calcium, like orange juice and milk. The problem is not what soda contains, he said, but what it does not. Here’s a personal confession, too: I used to be an avid soda drinker; it was a staple with nearly every dinner I had. Today, I don’t touch the stuff. I don’t need the cavities or more serious health problems related to drinking a tall glass of sugar and chemicals. Folk, drink more water.

Tropical Punch — Dee-licious!

trop.jpgIt’s here! Tropical Punch, the latest flavor from HINT, is now available. I had a craving for this drink all day, since it’s been unusually hot (I’m in Los Angeles) these last few days. A tall glass of Tropical Punch and some cool air conditioning: Paradise!
