Have you ever experienced the vicarious thrill of sudden popularity? No? Well, I did! Last night, I was a privileged guest at the Cabana Club in Hollywood, where HINT gave away lots of delicious goodies. In fact, so many people eagerly posed for pictures, HINT beverages conveniently nearby, that I plan to post many of these images over the course of this week. Many thanks to Peter, who braved the heat (it was 130 degrees in Southern California this past weekend) and sang the praises of this cool company.
Folks, meet Bruce Schwartz: our latest HINT Hero. Bruce is an avid traveler and active member of various pet humane societies. Oh, I almost forgot: Bruce is also a HINT Hero, having discovered the product at a local market that carries mostly organic foods and other healthy products. “As someone who virtually grew up loving soft drinks, which I now avoid, I’ve always been looking for a beverage that was delicious yet healthy. My older brother suggested HINT. Thank you, Larry (he’s my oldest sibling)! I love this stuff. I plan to buy – and drink – a lot of HINT.”
Yes, it’s true. The highly selective staff over at ABC’s “Good Morning America,” led by Sara Moulton, the show’s food editor, absolutely love HINT Water. They selected our delicious drinks from more than 160,000 products at last week’s Fancy Food Show (where I gained 86 pounds), held in New York City at the Javits Convention Center. I’ll post the video clip of this segment soon. Until then, cheers!
NASA gave the shuttle Discovery a majestic Fourth of July send-off and said early signs showed the spacecraft was in good shape, despite once again being struck by the flying foam that has plagued the program. The real question is: Did the astronauts pack any HINT Water in the shuttle’s glove compartment? Does the shuttle even have a glove compartment?
Yeah, yeah, I know: the movie poster is blurry, but . . . “Breaking Away” is a darn good movie. It’s a film about pending adulthood, class tension, athletics and love. (There’s only one other movie that is the very quintessence of summer. Can you name it? Here’s a “HINT”: “The thing about a shark, it’s got lifeless eyes, black eyes, like a doll’s eyes. When it comes at you it doesn’t seem to be livin’… until he bites you, and those black eyes roll over white.”) Anyway, I had an ice cold bottle of HINT Water, lime flavored, and watched a wonderful bit of cinema.
p.s. Any clue what the name of that film about the shark is?
Here’s a quick report from your beloved blogger, live from the Hollywood Bowl. Kenny Loggins delivered one heck of a show! Either my eyesight is shot (definitely a possibility), or there actually is a fountain of youth (plastic surgery?), because Kenny Loggins looked like he was in great shape. He sang all of his most famous songs, followed by an awesome rendition of “America the Beautiful.” What a night!
p.s. My friend swiped my last bottle of HINT
Just a friendly reminder that I hope everyone has a safe, fun and memorable fourth of July. Of course, I expect all of my HINT Heroes to have at least one our delicious drinks during this festive day. I’ll have pictures and stories about my own patriotic day of barbecue, cake and fireworks. Stay tuned!
